Paint the Mountains Pink

Paint the Mountains Pink at Ober Gatlinburg with the Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation on Wednesday, February 16 from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.  Admission is $20 and includes parking and an Aerial Tramway Ride.  To purchase tickets visit LeConteMedicalCenter.com/giving or call (865)446-9627.  We are so excited to partner with Ober Gatlinburg to celebrate National Cancer Prevention Awareness Month! On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, we will be at Ober Gatlinburg’s Amusement Park and Ski Area to celebrate all cancer survivors with free hot chocolate, special pink toffee and educational information about the cancer services offered at LeConte Medical Center.

 Ober originally planned to literally paint the mountain pink by dying the snow in the ski area; however, due to unforeseen circumstances with the dye materials we regret they will not be able to showcase pink snow this year.  Ober has planned a fantastic “Pink Out Experience” throughout their park and ski area on this day to show their support of the importance of cancer awareness, education and prevention. At noon there will be a special presentation by the Ober ski instructors who will ski down the slopes with pink smoke in honor of National Cancer Prevention Awareness Month! 

 For the special admission price of only $20 (which includes free parking and an aerial tramway ride to and from the park), you can enjoy a beautiful pink out experience at Ober while supporting the Paint the Mountains Pink free mammography campaign offered by the Comprehensive Breast Center at LeConte Medical Center.

Paint the Mountains Pink – Our mission is two-fold: First, Paint the Mountains Pink will spread the word about the importance of mammography and early detection, and help educate our community that mammograms truly save lives. Second, Paint the Mountains Pink will help provide mammograms to those in Sevier County who cannot afford them.
