Get the most out of your Ober Gatlinburg winter experience by learning from our expert training professionals.
We teach beginners through advanced skiers and snowboarders, emphasizing fun and safety first. We are members of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI).
You are taught the techniques of gliding, slowing down, and turning to stop, so you can capture the thrill and excitement of the sport while having fun.
FIRST TIME SKIERS
A lesson is mandatory for first time skiers and snowboarders for increased safety of themselves and others on the slopes.
With a large staff of instructors, Group Lessons go out on a constant rotation any time the slopes are open, so very little waiting time. The number of students in a Group Lesson varies depending on business volume.
Group Lessons and Private Lessons are arranged at time of Ski Area Ticket purchase (here in person), on the spot. Private lessons are available at any time based on availability of staff. Please see the Ski School Supervisor for availability.*
*Private lesson times are subject to availability during busy times (Holiday periods, Weekends, etc.) … but Group Lessons are always readily available whenever slopes are open.
