We are just one week away from OktOBERfest, a month-long celebration of Gatlinburg’s strong German heritage. For twelve years, Ober Gatlinburg has hosted this beloved festival which offers visitors the best way to experience fall in the Smoky Mountains. Our staff will be adorned in traditional Bavarian attire, with the women wearing dirndls and the men sporting lederhosen.
Our guests are invited to dress in traditional costumes and visit the area to enjoy family fun activities and indulge in our German cuisine options—to be offered in the Seasons of Ober Restaurant. Of course, our outdoor Bier Garten is always a fan favorite for those guests 21 years and older.
Due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic and local labor shortages however, some rides, activities, food and beverage venues and retail shops may be closed, have reduced operating hours, options and/or quantities. Still there will be no shortage of fun and excitement as performers will offer live entertainment in our restaurant and in our Biergarten.
The staff at Ober Gatlinburg will be required to wear face masks and practice enhanced cleaning protocols for the duration of the festival.
While we will adhere to these safety and health recommendations for our employees and guests, Ober Gatlinburg promises an authentic German experience filled with all the food, music, family friendly shows, beer, and souvenirs you have come to expect from OktOBERfest. Our staff will continue working diligently to provide the same exceptional service we are known for—so that you may enjoy your time here in the safest manner.
Cheers and we hope to see you soon. Seh dich später!
