Our top priority is to protect the health and safety of our guests, employees, and community, and we have made changes to our operations to support this goal and follow the Tennessee Pledge to reopen businesses responsibly.
Sevier County Mask Order Extended Through April 15, 2021
Sevier County has made the decision to extend its mask mandate through April 15, 2021. Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters signed Executive Order 65 on Feb. 27, which is an extension of the mask mandate. The mandate requires face coverings in all public indoor areas and businesses. The new order was announced as a response to the increase in cases in the county and region.

GENERAL COVID-19 PRECAUTION FAQS
These protocols include:
- The Aerial Tramway has been retrofitted with spacing barriers to encourage social distancing, netting less than 1/2 of normal capacity.
- Mandatory use of masks for all indoor front-line, food service and janitorial employees.
- Temperature checks on employees where temperatures of 100.4 degrees or higher must be sent home.
- Social distancing guidelines for both employees and guests with increased signage.
- Increased janitorial cleaning.
- Decreasing points of contact for payments by wiping down card readers with cleaning solution after every purchase and offering hand sanitizer to employees and guests during each transaction.
- Employees have received training on COVID19 health and safety guidelines.
Ober Gatlinburg encourages all its employees and guests to work together to create an environment that follows the recommendations of the state government and health organizations. Ober Gatlinburg is complying with Sevier County’s Mask Mandate for all indoor venues.
Masks are required for indoor attractions and facilities. This includes the Aerial Tramway. Once outside, guests may choose to take off their mask but must be ready to put it back on when going back indoors. Please note our Ice-Skating Rink and Ice Bumper Cars are indoor attractions.
We respectfully ask that you comply with Sevier Counties mandate. We cannot allow you to enter the property without a mask. This is not unique to Ober Gatlinburg. The mandate is countywide and includes every business.
WINTER ACTIVITY PRECAUTION FAQS
Face coverings will be required in the Aerial Tramway, Snow Tubing Park, and all indoor areas. Face coverings are required anywhere that physical distancing cannot be achieved. This is to promote the safety of our employees and guests. Face coverings will be supplied at each entrance to Ober Gatlinburg.
We are requiring face coverings to be worn in our Ticketing and Rental areas. We also encourage you to pay attention to the physical distancing requirements laid out in the que lines. Rental equipment will be sanitized after every use.
We encourage you to plan you trip to Ober Gatlinburg for Weekdays, night sessions, and non-holiday periods. If you want to get the most out of your experience with the least amount of people, make sure to build in extra time for parking and purchasing tickets.
Face coverings will be required to be pulled up above your nose and mouth while in lift lines. We encourage guests to ride with who they arrive with. Please communicate concerns and comfort levels with the lift attendants and they will assist you.
We will have a maximum of 10 people per group lesson. We encourage guests to remain in the groups they arrived with. We also encourage you to invest in private lessons that allow you to have a more personalized learning experience.
