Ski Area Management (SAM) Magazine’s 11th annual Summer Ops Camp is coming to Gatlinburg! Ober Gatlinburg, along with several other area attractions will play host to Ski Industry professionals from all over the country. Attendees will get a hands-on experience with a wide range of summer activities, explore product offerings with a diverse group of suppliers and network with fellow operators and experts. The goal of the SAM Summer Ops Camp is to network and share ideas on how to boost Summer Operations and attendance at mountain attractions.
Ober Gatlinburg will host the SAM Summer Ops Camp on Wednesday August 27th from 11:30am – 4:30pm. Campers will be treated to lunch, sessions on some of our rides, and demos from a few great attraction companies. The demos will be brought to you by Glice, ADG, Innova, RCI, and Neveplast. All these companies will have their own area where attendees can learn more about their product. Ride sessions will also be happening at Ober! These rides are brought to you by Gravity Logic, QuietKat, and others. The sessions will also cover the hottest trends and latest Incident Data in Summer Risk with Tim Bruce and Justin Guth, Safehold, Cameron Annas, Granite Insurance. The last session will be how to create true differentiation with Paula Rea, and the Solidarity of Unbridled Labour. Campers will learn new ways to operate in the summer and bring customers during a time when most ski areas have closed.
Ober Gatlinburg is proud to be hosting such a diverse group of mountain professionals. Not only will Ober feature demos and sessions from amazing industry professionals, but Ober will also have Snow. Using the SnowMagic System, Ober will have snow made even with these warm temperatures. Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park is a staple of Gatlinburg Tourism and we are so excited to share all of the great area attractions with the SAM Summer Ops Camp.
